Configuration overview

Application fit
Laboratory and production thermal processing where the workpiece, powder or gas path is contained by a process tube.
Temperature / cycle
Defined by the selected configuration and required working cycle. Working and maximum values must be confirmed separately.
Geometry
Process-tube material, outside diameter, wall thickness, usable length, heated length, zone count and orientation must be defined.
Atmosphere boundary
Air, controlled gas or vacuum operation depends on the process tube, end seals, gas train, pumping arrangement and process safety review.
Heating / connection
Heating-element type, zone length, control arrangement and end insulation are selected against the required cycle and tube geometry.

Start with the process tube

A tube furnace is selected around the material path, tube geometry and required thermal profile. The equipment can be discussed as a stationary horizontal or vertical system, a split arrangement, a rotary process route, or a controlled-environment assembly when the application supports it.

Choose the closest configuration route

Use a stationary tube furnace for a fixed process tube and defined heated section. Use the rotary route when controlled tube rotation and material movement are part of the process. Use the vacuum and atmosphere route when sealing, gas delivery or pumping must be integrated with the heated section.
