The material program defines the furnace duty

A dental zirconia furnace must reproduce the approved thermal program for the selected material without treating a maximum temperature label as the whole specification. The working cycle, load support, chamber capacity, temperature measurement and cooling sequence all influence configuration fit.

Usable capacity is more than chamber volume

The chamber must accommodate the load and support accessories with appropriate clearance and handling access. State the normal and largest expected batch, tray or crucible dimensions and whether multiple layers are part of the validated workflow.

Control the complete cycle

Selection should distinguish working temperature from any maximum rating and include the complete ramp, hold and cooling sequence. If the material supplier limits heating or cooling rates, provide those limits with the inquiry. Controller programming, sensing and insulation are then reviewed against the cycle.
